Prawn 65 fry recipe with step-by-step pictures and video on how to make crispy prawn 65 easily at home.
This restaurant style crispy prawns 65 is so tasty and very easy to prepare. It does not require more marination time too. Everyone enjoys this crispy prawn dish.
While cleaning the prawns remove inner line from it, remove the shell but keep the tail part. It will be crispy when fried and easy to hold. I enjoy it this way.
Washing prawns with turmeric powder will help get rid of fishy smell from it.
You can serve this prawn 65 as a starter with soup, or along with rice and curry, or with salad or simply you can have it as snack too.

Prawn 65 fry recipe
Ingredients
- 250 gram Cleaned Prawns about 25 pieces
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp Pepper powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 3/4 tsp Red chilli powder You can adjust as per your spice requirement
- 1 tsp Corn flour
- 1 tsp Channa dal flour
- 1 tsp Rice flour
- 1 handful curry leaves to garnish
- 1 Lemon juice optional
Instructions
- Clean and wash the prawns with some turmeric powder.
- In a mixing bowl, add all the masala powders and flours and mix well.
- Add prawn pieces and coat well with masala mix.
- Squeeze the lemon juice now if you want to add it.
- In a pan, shallow fry the prawns in medium hot oil. Flip and cook both sides and take out.
- Fry curry leaves and garnish on top of fried prawns.

If you prefer to marinate, you can marinate for about 15 to 20 minutes and fry or you can refregerate and fry later too. 4 – Fry it in medium hot oil. If you fry it in very hot oil, oil would spill over.
