Crispy Pesarattu | Pachai Payaru Dosa
Pesarattu is Andhra based tasty and healthy Dosa variety. Moong dal is the main ingredient in this dish, which is full of proteins. The protein requirement for an adult and growing kids will be fully met if one takes this dish for breakfast.
One of the easy peasy, tasty and healthy food is Pesarattu. Let’s see how to prepare this.
Required ingredients:
Moong dal – 1 cup
Red chilli – 1
Cumin – 1 tsp
Hing – 1/4 tsp
Ginger – 1/2 inch
Salt – as required
Preparation Method:
- Soak the moong dal for 5 hours. Usually I soak it in the late night just before going to sleep. So, it will be ready to grind in the morning.
- Grind the moong dal in mixer along with cumin, red chilli, hing and salt.
- Divide the dal equally and grind in mixer for easy grinding.
- First 1 minute grind without adding water, then little water to attain the required batter consistency.
- The batter consistency should be thin to make crispy Dosa. Refer the video for consistency.
- Now heat the Dosa tawa, pour 1/2 cup batter and spread it thin.
- Cover it and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Then role it and take out
Serve it with your favorite chutney.
