Almonds ladoo with enhanced cashews flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Almonds / Badam
  • ¼ cup Cashew
  • cup Palm sugar 1/4 to 1/3 cup palm sugar, you can use sugar or jaggery and adjust sugar level as per your taste.
  • 1 pinch Saffron optional
  • ¼ tsp Cardamon powder or 2 green cardamom
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder

Instructions
 

  • Dry roast the almonds in low flame until it changes it color and start to break. Then keep aside.
  • Next, dry roast the cashews in low flame until it is little brown.
  • Now add these dry nuts, saffron, cardamom, turmeric powder and palm sugar in mixer jar.
  • Grind it in pulse mode in mixer grinder. If you do not have pulse mode, you can grind for 5 seconds and turn off.
  • Continue grinding until it becomes course powder.
  • After it is powdered, grind it continuously so that the oil will release from the nuts.
  • You can adjust sugar by adding powdered sugar at this stage too.
  • Now make small balls.
  • Badam cashew dryfuites ladoo is ready.

Notes

  1. Grind in pulse mode until its coarse powder. Then grind faster for the oil to release. If you grind faster from the starting, the oil will be released and it will not be ground evenly. So, to get evenly ground soft ladoo, first pulse and then grind faster.
  2. You could use sugar or jaggery or palm jaggery depending on the convenience of availability and your interest.
  3. Cashews enhances the taste. Prefer to add it unless you are very particular not to add it.
