Vegetables Prawns Salad

Green vegetables salad along with prawns

Ingredients
  

For Salad dressing

  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • ½ tsp Pepper powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Cumin powder
  • ½ tsp Chaat masala Optional
  • 2 tbsp Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 Lemon juice

For Prawn fry

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 twig Curry leaves
  • 200 g Prawns cleaned and deveined
  • ½ tsp Coriander seeds crushed
  • ¼ tsp Pepper crushed
  • ¼ tsp Salt adjust as per taste
  • 1 pinch Turmeric powder

Vegetables for Salad

  • 1 Carrot cut into small cubes
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 Tomato
  • 1 Cup Broccoli Semi cooked in steam
  • ½ Cup Corn kernels Boiled
  • 1 Green chilli Chopped
  • ½ Cup Cabbage Chopped
  • 1 handful Green leaves
  • 1 handful Parsley
  • ½ Cup Lettuce Chopped

Instructions
 

Prepare salad dressing

  • Include all the ingredients mentioned under "for salad dressing" in a bowl.
  • Mix well and keep aside at least for 10 minutes for the spices flavor to get infused.

Fry Prawns

  • In a frying pan or skillet, add oil, few curry leaves and prawns.
  • Add crushed coriander powder, pepper powder, required salt and a pinch of turmeric powder.
  • Saute them all together until the prawns are cooked tenderly.

Prepare Prawns Veg Salad

  • Take all the vegetables mentioned under "Vegetables for Salad" in a large mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle half of the salad dressing on it. Mix well.
  • Add the fried prawns with these vegetables mix.
  • Now add the remaining salad dressing on top and mix well again.
  • Now the salad is ready to serve.

Notes

Notes: 
  1. Prawns are to be sauted only until it is cooked tender. It will take 5 to 7 minutes in medium hot oil. 
  2. If you overcook the prawns, it will turn rubbery.
  3. Always prepare salad dressing first and keep aside for some time; this will allow the flavors to get infused in olive oil.
